i have to say that one of the most embarassing things in the world has got to be when you unknowingly make assumptions about something someone said, putting a whole other spin on it, and then mentioning it to them a few days later. especially if they have a memory like an elephant and have the integrity and honesty to clarify for you that they never actual said that last part and that you merely made an assumption.
but i must also admit, one of the nicest things in the world is knowing someone who has the integrity and honesty to tell you that you've made an assumption about something they said and that they were actually talking about something else. very cool, very cool.
