the jury is out on this one

spent some time at open studio making more neat ceramics stuff. my mom had a cool idea last week when i talked to her... to make magnets. dont steal our make it rich plan!

after leaving i walked a bit through the comm ave park and saw the inscription on one of the dozens of important-man sculptures. i was amused by the list of things the guy had been involved in during his day. there were your usual occupations and hobbies listed, but what really caught me off guard was reading "jurist."

does this mean the man was on a jury one or more times? does this mean he was the guy you called if you were short a jurer? is this really something meaningful and "cool" enough to put on a memorial? i mean, it didnt say "first ever jurer." it just said "jurist," right next to philanthropist or opthomologist, or whatever the hell else he did.

i just have one thing to say. on my tombstone i want to be remembered as a jurist.
