yesterday was fascinating and insane, all at once. we'll focus on the fun stuff and skip the insanity, even though insanity makes for good journaling.
we, (me, db, pb, jb & wb), took a day trip to Magog, Quebec yesterday and had a look at a monastary(sp?) and the small cute town of Magog.
we had a lovely lunch at Jessie, a non-possesive named resturaunt, and walked about for our shopping / viewing pleasure.
what i love about Quebec:
it seemed that most of the clothing i really liked was over $100 and imported from France. needless to say, i bought nothing.
perhaps i would like france? perhaps i am destined to live there? perhaps i need to learn french?
let me just say that i felt so cute and amazing returning the greetings of store keepers with a shy "bonjour!" it felt so right smiling and saying "bonjour!" it felt so appropriate and so much sweeter than the boring "hi" or "hello" of america.
i also noticed that a lot of women in Magog had shaved heads. none of them looked like skin heads or cancer patients, so i wonder if its a rebellious style or has some other special Magogian or Quebecan meaning that i'm unaware of. db said "perhaps it has no meaning." curious.
