despite my bruised tailbone and the intense heat, i have managed to caulk the trim of my new ceiling and put a nice thick coat of white paint over the thing.
im still trying to figure out what color to paint the walls... the baseboards and door/window trim are all a dark orangey-brown wood stained color, so it needs to be compatable with that.
db had requested orange for the room, but after much deliberation, comparing dozens of color swatches, and researching the psychology of color, ive decided to veto the orange bedroom idea. instead, im thinking we can save the orange for either the living room or the study. if LE moves out, im voting on turning her room into a study.
so, for the bedroom im thinking a nice rich warm yellow, or a rich blue with a hint of purple. any suggestions?

update: went to urban outfitters and bought a 5x7 blue and green rug, 3 bed spreads (the thin kind: two orange patterned and one blue and green), and one orange lamp shade. i shall paint the walls a creamy yellow. db shall have his orange bedroom after all.
