over lunch w/ LOM, she told me about eminems new video which blatently chastises michael jackson for his predilection toward children.
i was amused.
eminem is so clever... and hot.
anyway, she was telling me that michael is mad and demanding the video be dropped by all the stations, and that he claims it is libel.
i would like to go on the record as saying "bullshit." i dont believe it is libel at all. why?
the man is in the public eye, for one. and for another he has not only been accused of molestation, but has been so accused by a number of children and now young adults... AND has been charged and is at trial for these charges.
thus, it is fair game.
as LOM and i were discussing how eminems video is no different than SNL (the tv show, not the lesbian couple i often refer to) doing a skit about oj simpson being a murder - which they probably have done and without being sued by oj.
well... not a minute later, i see an older black man outside the window, walking with a bit of a swagger or limp of some kind. i think wow, that looks like oj simpson. but i dont say anything just yet and keep staring like the freak i am.
as he draws closer, i continue thinking i think thats oj simpson but i say nothing to LOM.
as he begins to round the corner, i say to LOM "in just a minute, you will look out the window and see oj simpson". just then he walks by and LOM is looking out the window at him.
"it looks like him," she says.
"it is him," i say.
he comes into CPK with his son and daughter and they take a seat at the counter. everyone is staring and calling people on their cell phones. "omg, its oj simpson."
later i call my mom and ask her roommate to leave her a message for me. he grabs a pen and paper, "okay, im ready."
"can you just tell her that im at lunch..."
"okay, you're... at lunch... uh huh."
"and oj simpson is here, having lunch at the same place."
"okay, oj... sss..."
"oj simpson"
"oh! oj simpson?!"
"mhm, oj simpson is having lunch here."
"you're having lunch w/ oj simpson?"
"no no, he's here w/ his kids at the same place, but we're not having lunch together."
"haha, okay, i will tell her about your interesting lunch experience."
"thanks, have a good day".
finally, after all the times i havent seen ben affleck or tom brady or natalie portman or anyone else of mild or intense interest wandering the beautiful city of boston, i experience my first celebrity sighting.
